Due to the lightweight and high-strength properties of composite materials, they have been widely used in the aerospace field. Fighters use a large number of composite material structures, with a usage rate generally above 25%, and the weight reduction efficiency of the structure can reach 30%. The application components include vertical tail, horizontal tail, fuselage skin, and wing wall panels and skin.
Composite materials account for about 25% of the total structural weight of the A380 aircraft, mainly used in central wings, outer wings, vertical tails, flat tails, fuselage floor beams, and rear pressure frames.
